Peace Proms

Well done to Third, Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Classes who took part in ‘Peace Proms 2023’.
Peace Proms is a choral education project for Primary Schools which culminated in an opportunity for the pupils to sing with a choir, accompanied by a full symphony orchestra conducted by Greg Beardsell. The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, members are from North and South of Ireland.
Peace Proms celebrates culture and diversity and promotes peace, unity and tolerance through music
We were also treated to the music of a pipe band from New Ross County Wexford, along with soloists on violin and uileann pipes. The wide-ranging repertoire had our feet tapping and hands clapping.
The children and their teachers had been practicing hard for weeks in preparation for their performance in the University of Limerick on Sunday 28th January 2023.  It truly was a memorable occasion for all in attendance
